Inclusive Design
“Handle” is a project that addresses a problem that physically challenged people face daily. It is a set of ergonomic kitchen tools which modifies significantly the movements necessary to achieve basic functions while preparing food. “Handle” facilitates the complete range of possibilities afforded by conventional tools.
“Upron” is a cooking apron with straps that makes lifting heavy pots easier. The apron transfers the weight of the pot to the shoulders and lower body by means of strategically placed straps. It both reduces the load and protects the wearer from any heat coming from the cooking pot.
